First on courts were the juniors who played several matches before Jenna McQueen, Jonathan Dodds, Jill Mercer and Luke Williams emerged as the finalists.

Following on from the juniors was a closely contested senior tournament. The sun shone on what proved to be a highly competitive event resulting in Caroline Beatty and Matthew Martin playing Amber Delport and Joshua McLean in the final.

Both the junior and senior finals were played at the same time and after two hard fought matches Jenna and Jonathan won the junior tournament and Caroline and Matthew emerged as winners of the senior event.

The Lacoste tournament is one of the highlights of the season not least because of the generous sponsorship of Shannon’s Jewellers, Lisburn. Mr Shannon was there to present the prizes to the winners and runners up after another successful Lacoste Tournament.
