Two FREE High Intensity Interval Training

Two FREE High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) sessions by PT Christine MacDonald.
These workouts take place this week for Downshire members online via zoom.
– Wednesday 13th May 10.30am
– Thursday 14th May 7.30pm
What is HIIT?
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is perfect for a person with a busy schedule.
It is a 30 minute session which involves short bursts of (30 sec) intense exercise, followed by a (10 sec) recovery.
HIIT can burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time. If you work out at your maximum effort for 4 minutes in a row, science has proven, you burn double the calories for the next 48 hours afterwards, compared to a cardio workout.
A win win training session, to help you get fit, improve strength & speed around the tennis court.
During the classes Christine will be giving options of harder and easier exercises and people work at their own pace so it is suitable for all levels of fitness.

Due to the intense exertions during HIIT, it is not suitable for anyone with an existing medical condition, including someone recovering from an injury.
Anyone taking part does so at their own risk.
